I just returned from
the Grammercy Park Modern Show in New York. Everything's in flux in the city. The season's show schedule is being updated almost daily with changes in venue and date as dictated by current events.
For the most part, people seem to want to get out and look at art and design, and hopefully this bodes well for the state of the market, and the nation in general.
Mayor Guiliani recently asked the world to come to New York, and to spend money. In this time of uncertainty, it's best to maintain our sense of normalcy, to be engaged in the course of regular events, and not to let fear of the unknown paralyze our pursuits, passions, and pastimes. To quote a much-admired colleague of mine -
"Be well, share bliss."
