ART DECO -  ARTS & CRAFTS - ART NOUVEAU

STERLING BUTTON COMPANY ART NOUVEAU PENDANT BROOCH

Sterling Button Company Art Nouveau brooch with pendants; possibly 800 silver (I have not tested the piece for silver content, but it polishes like a lower grade of silver); great design; pendant with wonderful grotesque face hangs from the center; marked: STERLING BUTTON COMPANY; mostly fine condition, one of the fan-shaped pendants has opened up, but that does not detract from the piece

See a wonderful photo of the Sterling Button Company building in New York City and read more information at

This very interesting pin was exhibited in International Art Jewelry 1895-1925 at the Forbes Gallery in New York City, October-March 2011.

A lovely Art Deco sterling ring with a large, faceted amethyst and enamels in basse-taille blue-green enamel and black enamel; I'm not sure of the origin, but someone suggested Austria; the top is about 3/4" x 1/2"; ring is about size 5-1/2; marked : "WM ?, STERLING;" the stone shows light surface wear, otherwise fine condition.
